Sergio Rossi

Sergio Rossi is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, where he holds the Chair of Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics since 2005. In 1997, he received the Vigener Prize for his Ph.D. degree in Political Economy at the University of Fribourg. He further obtained two awards by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals of the United Kingdom, for his Ph.D. degree in Economics at University College London (2000). His research interests are in macroeconomic analysis, particularly as regards national and international monetary and financial issues. He has authored and edited many books, contributed several chapters to books, widely published in academic journals, and is frequently invited to TV talk-shows discussing contemporary macroeconomic issues at national and international level. He is also a member of the scientific board of the International Journal of Monetary Economics and Finance.
