Steve Keen

Steve Keen is a Professor of Economics in the University of Western Sydney. He has specialised in developing dynamic models of the late Hyman Minsky's "Financial Instability Hypothesis". This hypothesis's predictions of debt-induced crises were becoming all too apparently true, leading him to enter public debate over economic policy in Australia via a monthly report "Debtwatch" and the blog www.debtdeflation.com/blogs.

Steve also established a reputation as a leading critic of accepted economic dogma via his book Debunking Economics, and its associated website www.debunkingeconomics.com
