Pasquale Della Corte is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Finance Group at Warwick Business School.

Lucio Sarno is a Professor of Finance in the Finance Group, Warwick Business School, and a CEPR Research Fellow. He previously held teaching and research positions at several universities, including the University of Oxford and Columbia University. He has been involved in policy advice, training, research and consulting projects for a number of institutions, including the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the Bank of Canada, the Central Bank of Norway, the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, the World Bank, the European Commission, and a number of banks and asset management companies. Lucio is the author of over 50 articles in refereed economics and finance journals, including the Journal of Economic Literature; Journal of Financial Economics; Review of Financial Studies; Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis; Journal of Business; International Economic Review; Journal of International Economics; Journal of the European Economic Association; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Review of Finance; Journal of Development Economics. He has also authored and edited several books, including a graduate textbook on The Economics of Exchange Rates (Cambridge University Press, 2003).

Ilias Tsiakas is an Associate Professor of Finance in the Finance Group at Warwick Business School.

Thomas Grennes Thoughts From Across the Atlantic

Thomas Grennes is a professor of economics at the North Carolina State University and a former visiting faculty member at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. His research has dealt with various aspects of international economics, including open economy macroeconomics, international finance, and international trade in agricultural products. Recent research topics have included macroeconomic aspects of the Great Moderation, offshore outsourcing, sovereign wealth funds, and the relationship between government debt and economic growth. Earlier work dealt with emerging market issues in the Baltic countries and Russia and trade and macro policies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Economic history topics include the Columbian Exchange of plants and animals, the effects on food markets of introducing mechanical refrigeration, and the integration of Tsarist Russia into the world grain market. When he is not involved in economics, he enjoys mountain hiking.
