Mauricio Villafuerte

Mauricio Villafuerte is a Deputy Division Chief in the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department. He specializes in fiscal and monetary policy issues in natural resource-rich countries and has produced several publications on fiscal policy management and fiscal institutions (specifically fiscal rules and natural resource funds) in those countries. Before joining the Fund, he worked at the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Ecuador.
