Kevin O`Rourke

Kevin O'Rourke is Professor of Economics at Trinity College Dublin, and co-organiser of the CEPR's Economic History Initiative. He has served as editor of the European Review of Economic History, and is President-elect of the European Historical Economics Society. A Research Fellow of the National Bureau of Economic Research, he has taught at Columbia, University College Dublin, Harvard and Sciences-Po Paris.

He is the co-author of Globalization and History (with Jeffrey G. Williamson), which won the 1999 American Association of Publishers/PSP award for the best scholarly book in economics. Power and Plenty: Trade, War, and the World Economy in the Second Millennium (with Ronald Findlay) has recently been published by Princeton University Press.

In his spare time, Kevin serves as a municipal counsellor in St Pierre d'Entremont, a small mountain village in eastern France.
