Camila Pérez

Camila, an economist specializing in financial markets in Colombia, is currently working as editor of economic conjuncture in Fedesarrollo, a local think tank, and does research as independent analyst. Prior to joining Fedesarrollo in april 2008, she was Head of Research at Valores Bancolombia, where she covered the Colombian equity market, and advised clients in the design of investment portfolios. From 2003-2005, Camila worked as an advisor of the Ministry of Finance in Colombia, where she was in charge of fiscal issues. Before that, she was the Head of Economics Research at Corfivalle, a Colombian financial corporation, where she followed fixed income and equity markets, and did some sector studies. Camila has a M.A. in Economics from New York University, and holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. She has been a permanent contributor with articles and interviews in specialized local newspapers and magazines, and appears frequently in TV and radio programs.
