Antonio Fatás is the Portuguese Council Chaired Professor of Economics and Dean of the MBA Programme at INSEAD, an international business school with campuses in Fontainebleau (France) and Singapore. He received a Masters and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University (Cambridge, MA, USA). He has also worked as an external consultant at the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the OECD and the European Commission.
His research covers areas such as the macroeconomic effects of fiscal policy, the connections between business cycles and growth and the effects of institutions on macroeconomic policy and has been published in academic journals such as Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of Money, Banking and Credit, and Economic Policy.
