RGE Content: Weekly Roundup

On Nouriel Roubini’s Global EconoMonitor, Nouriel gives concise statements of his views on the global and U.S. economy and markets. In an interview with Maria Bartiromo, Roubini points at the silver lining in the economic crisis: the correction of excesses in consumption and unproductive investments will put the U.S. back on track for more sustainable growth in the long run. He lays out his predictions and advice for investors and students in “Business Week: Roubini Interview with Maria Bartiromo”. In a subsequent post, Roubini interprets the recent rally in U.S. stocks as a mere bear market rally in a downtrend that will last until the S&P 500 bottoms at 720 – or as low as 500-600 given a more severe global recession.
